As the world emerged from the pandemic lockdowns, we focused on a few areas during the year - youth leadership, community health, women’s economic empowerment and upskilling people on bystander intervention training to respond appropriately to sexual and gender based violence.
Over the past year we trained 500 youth as Safety Champions, 150 women to start new businesses and over 50000 community champions who are first responders to the violence in their communities. Our work was in partnership with diverse organisations like civil society, education institutions, transport, police and civic authorities in the States of Maharashtra, Goa, Delhi NCR and Karnataka.
Indirectly we reached about 100,000 people through our on ground programmes in communities, colleges and corporations. We also focused on strengthening our organisation with several of us going through leadership coaching and mentoring to help us take on new responsibilities and meet the needs of the future.
